In Fashion - Fall 2012 Top Accessory Trends

Go big and go bold. That's the style message for best fashion accessories this fall. And yes, you can pile them all on at the same time -- the more the merrier. From chunky bangles to layers of necklaces, jeweled brooches, lots of booties and luxury handbags, the extras this season are statement makers and sure to make anything you wear much more special. Here are a few of the best extras:
--The structured handbag. The lady-like looks are back in modern shapes, such as trapezoid totes, cross-body bags, portfolio envelopes and clutches in exotic skins. For even more fun, check out a vivid color-blocked handbag or add a handbag covered with fur.

--Medieval-inspired jewelry. Think Gothic with a metallic twist. Coiling serpentine drop earrings and bracelets are two of the newest looks for fall. Chain metal bib necklaces in brushed silver and burnished black are other favorites of this tough, chic trend.

--Bright gemstones. Rubies. Emeralds. Sapphires. Oh, my! The more colorful the better. Wear them clustered, all together, in choker necklaces, large brooches or chunky cuffs.

--Sculptured rings. The big cocktail ring has grown up into a piece of art. The newest rings take on an artistic flair in icy crystals or molten metals.

--The embellished shoe. Perhaps one of the season's most exciting buys and one of the fastest ways to make old clothes look and feel new. Whether it's a pair of embroidered tuxedo slippers or a textured metallic high heel, the shoes are stunners this fall.

--The leather or suede boot. What's a fall wardrobe without at least one pair of boots? And this year, there are so many styles to choose from you may want to start collecting a whole wardrobe of boots. Start with a pair of edgy ankle boots. Or step out in a pair of classic equestrian-inspired boots. And if you're really adventurous, the spike-heeled, thigh-high boots are a real attention getter.

--A graphic printed scarf. It's another way to instantly update your fall clothes. Scarves have come a long way since the days of the fringed pashmina. This season wrap up in a colorful, printed silk scarf that's on the plus size for more impact.

--Colorful tights. Still love to live in an all black wardrobe? Never fear. Inject some color into your ensembles with a pair of opaque tights in cobalt blue, fiery red or emerald green.

--Short gloves. With all the lady-like handbags and shoes out there this fall, it doesn't come as a surprise that short, wrist-style gloves are back in a big way. Check them out in bold colors or classic black and white leather. Tres chic.

Philips Citiscape - Street-Style Inspired Headphones

Inspiration comes from everything, in every form. Sometimes, it can come from across the globe—from the streets of New York to Tokyo and Paris. And according to Philips Consumer Lifestyle, the music-loving fashion junkie can get a taste of the world’s most loved urban cultures with the Philips CitiScape headphones collection.
If you’re inspired by urban adventures that only the concrete jungle of New York City can give, Philips promises that the Philips CitiScape Downtown headphones will allow you to experience NYC wherever you may be. “The Downtown gives just the right touch of the smart-casual street style that New York is known for,” says Franco Flameno, Business Development Manager for Lifestyle Entertainment, Philips Consumer Lifestyle Philippines.

The Downtown comes in a sleek and sophisticated design that you can easily match with free-flowing dresses, jeans or even boots, making these headphones truly quite fashionable. And best of all, says Flameno, the audio quality of the Downtown is what makes it a must-have.
“Finely tuned 40mm drivers deliver clear, natural and balanced sound. That kind of audio quality for its market is hard to top,” he explains. A built-in microphone allows you to switch from your music to your phone calls easily, while its MusicSeal feature allows you to immerse yourself in the city’s sights while keeping the noise away from your music.

Similarly, the Philips CitiScape Uptown “packs a mean punch with high precision sound,” says Flameno, with memory foam cushions that assure a comfortable fit and long-time listening every time. The Uptown is also equipped with MusicSeal that lets you keep every beat of your music to yourself. Furthermore, the Uptown, inspired by classy and savvy urbanites, sports an anti-tangle cable and air-quilted headband.
From America to Europe, the CitiScape collection channels romance and chic Parisian fashion with the Philips CitiScape St. Germain. This set of headphones sets itself apart from the collection nicely as they are in-ear headphones inspired by Paris’ boho charm.

Flameno describes the St. Germain as “funky and elegant,” and explains that it is designed to give total comfort while producing soft and natural sound. The St. Germain may not come in full headband headphones form, but it still does a pretty good job of keeping the noise out with its noise isolating ear caps. Pair the St. Germain with casual summer boho outfits such as long loose skirts, crop tops and sassy sandals to represent what Paris is all about.

Of course, Asian cities can never be bumped off the list of the most influential street cultures, and one of the best examples is Japan. The Land of the Rising Sun comes alive in the Philips CitiScape Shibuya, on-ear headphones that are lightweight, breathable, and inspired from Japanese pop culture. “You can strut in style with these headphones, while blocking out unwanted noise with its auto-fitting noise isolating cushions,” says Flameno.
Walk around wearing the Shibuya while expressing your own personal style, with vintage items, leather jackets, or if you’re feeling bold, dress up like a cosplayer to seal the deal.

With these fashionable yet high quality headphones, Philips is at the forefront of the headphone market as it continues to bring meaningful innovations to improve people’s lives.
